Journal Impact Factors

"Impact factors are scores based on the frequency with which articles in a journal have been cited in other journals during a 2- or 5-year period."

Oermann, M. H., Shaw-Kokot, J. (2013). Impact Factors of Nursing Journals: What Nurses Need to Know. The Journal of Continuing Education in Nursing, 44(7):293-9; Epub 2013 May 8.

Two ways to find the Impact Factor for a journal:

  1. Check the journal's website.
  2. Ask Us! to check Journal Citation Reports.
