Levels of Evidence
Classifying evidence into different levels based on research design is an important part of Evidence Based Practice, but there are different systems for organizing these levels depending on the purpose of the evidence (e.g. prognosis vs. treatment). Here is one of the more commonly cited levels of evidence for treatment studies.
