Opportunity for Reflection

  1. After reading these articles and watching the videos, how do you see race, gender, and sexuality impacting healthcare access and health experiences in the US?

As members of the IHP community whose mission is to prepare "health professionals and scientists to advance care for a diverse society through leadership in education, clinical practice, research, and community engagement." why might it be important to understand health at the intersection of race, gender and sexuality? 

  1. As an aspiring health professional or member of the IHP community, what do you see being your role in influencing and/or making health care more equitable?
