Finding Nursing Articles in Ovid Medline
Do you need to find a research article that is specifically from a nursing journal and/or with a nurse as an author? Using limits in Ovid, you can find such articles easier.
First, search for your topic in Ovid. If you need help searching in Ovid, see the video tutorials on the More Database Tutorials page.
When you have your results, find the blue box below the search bar that says Limits. Click Edit Limits.
Set Publication Year to 2009 to Current. Then find the Journal Subsets box and choose Nursing Journals. Click Customize Limits to apply.
Now all of your results will be from the last 5 years and have been published in nursing journals. If you want to limit your results to only reserach articles, you can also use the Publication Type filter to choose types of research articles in which you are interested.
