Clinical Reference Tools for MGH

MGH affiliates have access to several clinical reference tools through library subscriptions. The apps below are free to download, but some require a registration. Special thanks to Dan McCloskey at Treadwell Library for these apps.

UpToDate
UpToDate is designed with the busy clinician in mind. Search common medical abbreviations, graphics, use filters, and more. To get mobile access, register for an individual account while on the Mass General Brigham network. You can then use that account to sign into the app or onto the mobile optimized website. You will need to log-in to UpToDate while on the Mass General Brigham network every 90 days in order to keep your mobile access. Epocrates

The free version of Epocrates is a drug information reference.

Medscape

Medscape has multiple apps available for both iOS and Android, including a reference app, news app, and CME/Education app. This app has been recommended by IHP faculty.

Skyscape

Skyscape Medical Library has calculators, a drug reference tool, and a clinical decision support tool for free, plus the option to buy additional resources.

Calculate by QxMD is a clinical decision support tool that has hundreds of medical calculators in this free app.

Stat!Ref

As MGH students or employees, you have access to Stat!Ref Mobile, the app that accompanies this versatile online resource. Please visit the Stat!Ref Mobile website for links to all App types and authentication instructions. You will need to connect to Stat!Ref online using your Mass General Brigham credentials and set up a temporary login.
