Jessica Bell

Jessica, our Director of Library Services, started working in her university library as an undergraduate and she never looked back. Now, she has been working at the Bellack Library for 14 years! She loves her role as Director, because she gets to have her hands in just about everything at the library and never gets bored. Her favorite thing about working at the IHP is how amazing the students and faculty are to work with.

When she isn't working at the library, Jessica loves traveling whether it's locally, domestically or internationally. She feels that every time she leaves the house there's the potential for adventure and discovery!

Dominique Couturier

Dominique is our Assistant Director of Library Services. She became a librarian because libraries and information literacy are her passion. She believes in the tradition of sharing knowledge and information. In the library, her focus is reference, instruction, and student engagement.

Dominique's favorite part of working in the library is collaborating with Institute students, faculty, and staff on research projects and community engagement. She is excited to work at the IHP because she believes it is a very exciting time to be in the health care industry and MGH is the gold standard for research and patient care.

When she is not working, Dominique enjoys yoga and, of course, reading! When she has time off you can find Dominique on a beach in her home state of Maine, or visiting family in Quebec City, Canada. Fun fact - Dominique has dual citizenship of the US and Canada!

To reach Dominique, email dcouturier@mghihp.edu, or schedule a consultation on our Ask a Librarian webpage.

Lindsey Nichols

Lindsey is our Reference Librarian. Previously she was a business and humanities reference librarian, but she had been wanting to get into life sciences librarianship for about a decade. Seeing the MGH IHP job posting at the right time felt like serendipity and she is grateful for this opportunity!

Lindsey's favorite part of working in the library is doing research consultations with students, because she gets to help students find desired resources and solve real world problems. Her specialty at the library is developing user interfaces, online tutorials and writing for the web.

When she isn't working at the library, you can find her working on her kettlebell and rowing machine form, reflecting on how much she despises plantar fasciitis, and watching every baking contest reality show. She also loves to birdwatch in the fall, winter and spring and she even sometimes cries thinking about how birds are actually feathered dinosaurs that survived the Chicxulub impact and re-populated the earth!

Fun facts about Lindsey include that she grew up overseas (her mom is American, her father is Japanese), she loves ugly little dogs and she likes to follow wombat rehabbers on social media!

To contact Lindsey, email lnichols@mghihip.edu, or schedule a consultation on our Ask a Librarian webpage.
