Systematic, Scoping & Other Literature Reviews at Mass General Brigham

Resources for publishing literature reviews and evidence syntheses at Mass General Brigham

Full Text Extraction

If we are a co-author on your project, an optional part of our service involves locating full text articles for your Covidence project for a fee. For full text retrieval projects associated with our review service, we'll locate all open access papers then charge $3 per article for articles retrieved from our full text sources and $13 per article for those we need to order from other libraries.

LibKey and Covidence integration

Covidence, a screening software available through the library to MGHers and BWHers, now integrates with a tool called LibKey Nomad. First, download the LibKey browser extension. If you're not familiar with browser extensions, they're also called add-ons or plug-ins (e.g., Honey was a popular browser extension for a while). Once installed, a little green tear drop icon will appear in the upper right hand corner of your browser, near your address bar. Click it and set your library by typing in "Treadwell" like so:

Once that's finished, when you're in the Covidence full text screening stage, you'll see buttons that will either take you to an article or straight to the PDF. The article will need to have a DOI number for this button to appear. If you have both Treadwell and Harvard credentials, reset the library to Harvard to grab all of their articles as well.
