Wednesday, September 10th, 12-1: "So You Want to Do a Systematic Review?"

Whether you're conducting or reading a review, this presentation will have something for you! We'll discuss how to pursue a systematic, scoping or rapid review, including developing a protocol, performing a literature search, assessing risk of bias, common misconceptions, and more.

Incorporating an information professional into your project is an excellent way to improve your search methodology. Cochrane, JBI and other organizations recommend having an information specialist draft your search. Below are the ways we'll contribute to your project:

What we expect from teams

  • A team member who is a MGH or BWH employee. If your team only consists of people from MGB, you're welcome to take our course instead. 

  • A registered protocol that follows PRISMA for Protocols.

  • Inclusion as a co-author for any comprehensive review or an acknowledgement for any narrative review.

  • Permission to review the final manuscript before publication.
